Jersey Beer & Cider Festival
14 – 16 September 2018 15:00 to 22:30
Imagine taking a trip around all the very best pubs and bars, not only in Jersey and the Channel Islands but across Britain. There will be a selection of fantastic brews on offer and over 50 real ales and craft beers as well as a selection of wine, prosecco and not to mention local gins! Plus there will be a chance to sample some fantastic street food and listen to live music.

Jersey Festival of Words 2018
26  –  28 September
Jersey Festival of Words 2018 is a five-day literary event promoting a love of the written and spoken word across the community and in a variety of styles and settings. With over fifty events spanning a range of local venues, writers this year include Peter James, Joanna Trollope, Lemn Sissay, Luke Harding, Libby Page and Bryony Gordon. Tennerfest 2018
1st October to 11th November 2018
The Channel Islands can look forward to six weeks of great meals at fixed prices. Restaurateurs on both islands are offering menus starting at £10 with £12.50, £15.00 and now £17.50 options. This enables the restaurants to offer a wide and exciting selection of food during this promotion. Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon 2018
7th October 2018
The Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon is an established niche marathon, with breathtaking views and aims to raise valuable funds for Charity. The race, is split into three categories, Marathon, Relay Race and 3K Fun Run. The event attracted over 2,500 entrants in 2017 alone with over 60% of marathon runners coming from off the island. La Faîs’sie d’Cidre
20 October 2018 10:00 to 19:00 / 21 October 2018 10:00 to 17:00
Celebrating Jersey’s rich heritage of cider production. Bringing together communities, volunteers and of course apple and cider experts. It’s not all about the cider – live music, creative activities for children, dance, great food, great company, competitions, poetry, Genuine Jersey stalls and living history. Lots to do, things to learn, people to meet and fun to be had! Normal admission fees apply.

Support the Reds
Rugby has been played in Jersey since 1879; the club acquired their home near Jersey Airport in 1961 and opened a new clubhouse in 1994. The Reds were promoted five times between 2005-2012 and now play in the Greene King IPA Championship, the second tier of English Rugby. Watch the Jersey Reds and enjoy the family atmosphere at St. Peter,  just a couple of minutes walk from the Airport and St. Peter’s Garden Centre

Black Butter Making at The Elms
October 25, 2:00 pm–5:00 pm
October 26, 10:00 am–9:30 pm
October 27, 10:00 am–4:00 pm
Join the National Trust for Jersey’s annual Black Butter making event. It is a real community affair and it is free!
Thursday – participate in the ancient art of making Black Butter – peeling apples from 14.00 to 17.00 at The Elms.
Friday – peeling will start again at 10.00 until late! The stirring of the apples will start mid-morning on Friday in the large ‘bachin’ over a roaring fire.
Saturday – Market Day, carve pumpkins, eat lovely food and browse the stalls selling art, crafts and produce.

The Original Vintage Fair

The Original Vintage Fair, which takes place in the beautiful setting of St. Aubin alongside the harbour, is a popular event with residents and visitors alike. Held in the Parish Hall building and outside in the Square, the Fair offers collectable items from the 1900s to the 1980s and includes vintage kitchen wares, jewellery and silver, glassware and ceramics, furniture, bags and other fashion accessories, prints and ephemera.

St Helier’s Carved Pumpkin Competition
27 October 2018 11:00 to 14:00
Enter your carved pumpkin into St. Helier’s ‘Carved Pumpkin Competition’. Simply bring your carved pumpkin to Brook Street (next to Jack Wills) at 11.00 on Saturday 27 October. The pumpkins will be on display at Brook Street for all to see until 14.00. The winner will be announced at 14.00. Fantastic prizes are up for grabs including goody bags and first prize of a Jersey Heritage Family Annual Membership. Entrants ages between 5 – 12 years.

The Medieval Dead – Halloween Special Event

Join Jersey Heritage for an evening of Halloween Horror in the Magnificent, Medieval Mont Orgueil Castle…if you dare!
Visit the Jersey Heritage website to find out more about this special Halloween event. But you’ll need a ticket to get past the ghouls!
Tickets will be available to purchase online from September.
